This is my take on the famous Meathead’s Pork Seasoning rub. It’s become my absolute favorite rub for BBQ pork of any kind, and works exceptionally well for ribs and pulled pork.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Dark brown sugar, packed

  • 3/4 cup White sugar

  • 1/2 cup Smoked paprika

  • 1/2 cup Kosher salt

  • 1/4 cup Granulated garlic

  • 2 Tablespoons Coarse-ground black pepper

  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons Ground ginger

  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons Granulated onion

  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Ground rosemary

  • 1 Tablespoon Ground mustard

  • 1/2 teaspoon Yeast extract powder

Directions

  • Sift the brown sugar to ensure that it is not all clumped together.
  • If your rosemary looks like little dried sprigs, be sure to grind them in a spice grinder or with a mortar and pestle. You need 1 1/2 Tablespoons of ground rosemary.
  • Combine all the ingredients together in a container. Mix and shake very thoroughly to fully incorporate all ingredients.
  • Store in an airtight jar or similar container.
